Virendra A. Parikh was born in 1957 in Jamnagar, India. He earned his undergraduate degree from D.K.V. Arts of Science College in Jamnagar, India and his MD degree from M.P. Shah Medical College in 1981. He then completed his general surgery residency in India and obtained board certification in general surgery.
Dr. Parikh came to the United States in 1987 and completed his general surgery residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, Bronx, NY in 1993 and, in 1994, Dr. Parikh completed his Fellowship for Colon Rectal Surgery at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Parikh is certified by the American Board of Colon Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery and holds membership with the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, Fort Wayne Medical Society and Indiana State Medical Association.
