People throughout our region can count on Parkview hospitals to be standing by with emergency care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our emergency departments are staffed with board-certified emergency care physicians and a nursing staff that is trained and experienced in emergency care.
Parkview Hospital’s emergency department also connects critically ill or injured patients with the specialized care they need — through access to the region's first verified Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center and the certified Parkview Stanley Wissman Stroke Center. Patients receiving emergency care at Parkview Hospital may also see specialists in orthopaedics, neurosurgery, plastic surgery and many more.
Because the first hour after an emergency is the most critical, Parkview established the Samaritan Flight Program for rapid air transport. The two Samaritan helicopters are available for dispatch 24 hours a day, with a highly trained crew and advanced on-board trauma technology.
