A warm, friendly, healing atmosphere awaits patients who visit Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center's Outpatient Infusion Clinic. Located on the second floor of the Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center on the Parkview North campus, the clinic is convenient to the many services and amenities on site, and offers easy in-and-out access.
New in January 2010, the Outpatient Infusion Clinic serves ambulatory outpatients who need any of these services:
- Intravenous chemotherapy
- Intravenous hydration
- Blood transfusions
Airy and spacious, the clinic is designed especially with patient comfort in mind. The space is divided into 12 individual patient bays arranged around a centrally located nursing station. The bays are open enough to allow interaction with other people, yet offer privacy, if desired, with the pull of a curtain.
Bathed in plenty of natural light from large windows, each of the 12 patient bays is furnished with:
- A large, comfortable recliner with back support, headrest and tray table
- A flat-screen TV on an adjustable arm that can be moved close to the recliner for better viewing
- Guest chairs and room for visitors
Patients may also appreciate these features:
- Kitchenette for preparation of nutritious snacks
- Décor of natural materials in soothing colors
- Streamlined registration process
Patient care is provided by registered nurses who have extensive oncology and IV infusion experience. Guests are welcome to accompany patients.
Free valet parking is available at the building entrance (Entrance 4).
