Programs

Adult fitness
Adult programs are designed for individuals who are healthy and have no known risk of heart disease. Programs are developed based on an individual’s health condition and fitness goals. Receive three scheduled instructional sessions on proper use of equipment with a certified exercise specialist.

Supervised exercise
Supervised programs are designed for individuals who are at risk for heart disease or are known to have heart disease or injury. Based on a physician’s prescription, a personalized program is developed to monitor progress and provide supervision and support. Resting and exercise blood pressures and heart rates are measured before, during and after each session, and quarterly reports are sent to the physician. A certified exercise specialist will schedule your first three visits as well as provide instruction. A physician’s referral is mandatory.

Exercise classes
Developed to meet the needs of individuals who are fit or who want to become fit, classes cover a range of fitness levels. Classes include low-impact and step aerobics, pedal power, yoga, Pilates and toning. Enjoy various types of music, dance and relaxation routines. Each class is 30 to 60 minutes.

Senior Stretchers
Designed to meet the needs of senior adults, the class routine includes chair, standing and floor exercises. Each session focuses on controlled stretching and muscle strengthening exercises with elastic bands and hand and ankle weights. Each class is 60 minutes.

Fit Town Express
Developed to offer an alternative to traditional exercise methods, this program offers a “fast track” for fitness results. Fit Town Express is a circuit training program designed to improve muscular and cardiovascular endurance in 30-minute workouts three times a week. Training also focuses on improving an individual’s general conditioning, fitness level and body composition.
