Parkview Pharmacists – Take your career to a higher level
Parkview’s Pharmacy is noted for its early adoption of automated technologies, including Pyxis® MedStationsTM, Pyxis® CUBIE Replenishment System, Pyxis® Connect and PysixO® CII SafeTM, Talyst’s Autopack® and Autopharm® inventory management software with vertical carousels and Baza EM 2400TM TPN compounder. Pharmacists have daily opportunities to provide anticoagulation monitoring, pharmacokinetic dosing, infection control and nutritional support services. Parkview Health’s pharmacy offers a progressive pharmaceutical care environment in a variety of practice settings, including inpatient pharmacy, specialty clinics and such satellite pharmacies as surgical clinics and such satellite pharmacies as surgical care and critical care. In addition to this, Parkview Health also has an ASHP-accredited residency program.

Pharmacy Resident Program
Residents at Parkview will have the opportunity to participate in various acute care rotations. Resident activities include pharmacokinetic dosing, nutrition support, targeted drug therapy monitoring, cardiac arrest team participation, anticoagulant dosing, culture and susceptibility monitoring, antibiotic dosing, and medication discharge consultations. Various ambulatory rotations are available including participation in a pharmacist managed anticoagulation therapy unit, Pediatric Complex Care Clinic, Family Practice Clinic and others.

Other opportunities include a clinical pharmacy administration rotation, a Parkview Research Center rotation, participation in developing new patient-focused services and clinical pathways, teaching PharmD students. Residents are also eligible for employee benefits such as health and dental, paid time off accrual, selected holidays off, etc. The pharmacy department provides state-of-the-art comprehensive pharmaceutical care services in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
