To be considered for a volunteer position, you must:
- Submit an application
- Provide proof of age (14 years or older)
- Provide one personal reference
- Interview
- Be screened for TB (tuberculosis testing and reading required)
- Attend orientation

Job titles
Parkview Hospital Escort Volunteer
Description— Provide courtesy dismissals via wheelchair. Escort patients, ambulatory or wheelchair to testing sites or assigned patient room. Assist registration and guest services with delivery
of paperwork, etc. Assist Emergency Department with pick-up and delivery of patient diet trays. Assist with general requests as needed.
Time slot—Monday-Friday, four hour shifts, between 8 a.m.
and 8 p.m..
Parkview Hospital Guest Services Volunteer
Description — Greet and direct guests and staff service areas in the hospital. Excellent communication skills and friendly disposition are required. Willingness to escort guests to their destinations is a plus.
Time slot — Monday – Friday, four-hour shifts, between 8 a.m.
and 8 p.m.
Parkview Hospital Sunshine Troop Volunteer
Description — Greet patients and families and provide them with comfort items (such as a warm washcloth before meals, snacks, feeding assistance, conversation and more).
Time slot — Monday – Saturday, four-hour shifts, between 7 a.m. and
3 p.m.
Parkview Hospital Security Volunteer
Description — Answer phones, radio dispatch officers to areas
on the campus, maintain and key data for radio logs.
Time slot — Monday – Friday, from 8 a.m. – noon
Parkview Hospital Surgery Admitting Unit Volunteer
Description — Transport patients via wheelchair, prepare and file documents.
Time slot — Monday-Friday, four-hour shifts, between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. or 2 p.m.- 6 p.m.
Parkview Hospital Intensive Care Unit Volunteer
Description— Answering phones, direct calls and questions,
let visitors in the unit door.
Time slot—Monday-Sunday, four-hour shifts, between 8 a.m.
and 8 p.m.
Parkview Hospital-English Hall Volunteer
Description—Attend front desk, greet customers and help direct to meeting rooms, assist with putting together packets and materials for classes.
Time slot—Wednesday, from 8 a.m. – noon.
