Foot and Nail Care
9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 and 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19
The service is ideal for people with diabetes, circulatory or arthritic conditions. The cost is $20 for Women’s Health Center members and $30 for non-members.
Osteoporosis Screening
9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17
The screening lasts 15 minutes and can provide valuable information and help. The cost is $5 for Women’s Health Center members and $10 for non-members.
Foot Screenings with Dr. Michael McManus, Orthopaedics NorthEast
Noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18
The screenings are designed for people experiencing pain, difficulty walking, changes in foot structure, or any condition of the skin or nails. Free for Women’s Health Center members and $5 for non-members.
Ask the Dietitian
3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18
Registered dietitian Julia Just is available to answer nutrition questions. The 15-minute appointments are free.
Healthy Earth, Healthy You – Inside and Out
6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19
Parkview dietitians will discuss how simple changes in your daily health and household routines can make a positive impact on your health and the environment. The cost is $10 for Women’s Health Center members and $20 for non-members.
In addition, a special event will held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18 at the Parkview Corporate Office Auditorium, 10501 Corporate Dr. on the Parkview North campus
Getting Safety Right – An Evening for Mothers and Teen Daughters
Area experts will discuss various topics:
*Building healthy relationships and preventing abuse
*Introducing safety awareness and self defense tips
*Eating well and eating disorder prevention
*Managing money
*Preventing drug and alcohol abuse
The event is recommended for individuals 16 years and older. The evening will also include prizes, refreshments and vendor booths. The cost is $3 for Women’s Health Center members and family and $5 for non-members and family. Financial assistance is available.
