Fort Wayne, Ind. – Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 — Parkview Hospital officials today visited Cedarville Elementary School to recognize a second grade class and its teacher for their efforts in making blankets for the surgical trauma intensive care unit at Parkview Hospital.
On the first Tuesday of each month, the students work together to make blankets, which are then used by patients at Parkview.
“We would like to thank Cedarville Elementary for their generosity and willingness to serve others,” said Mike GeRue, director of neuroscience and critical care, Parkview Hospital. “This is a tremendous community outreach program, and we know that our patients and their families appreciate the blanket donations.”
