Fort Wayne, Ind. – Thursday, June 10, 2010 — Scott Gabriel has been named the new chief operating officer (COO) at Parkview Whitley Hospital.
Gabriel has 16 years of experience in healthcare. He most recently served as vice president of operations at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru. Gabriel has also held leadership positions at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio, and Trident Health System in Charleston, S.C.
“I look forward to my transition to the Parkview Whitley Hospital family,” said Gabriel. “This is a great time to join Parkview with the opening of the new Parkview Whitley Hospital in the fall of 2011. I also share Parkview’s commitment to providing the best patient-centered care possible.”
Gabriel earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Akron. He received a master of business administration from Ashland University.
Gabriel will begin his new duties on June 28.
