Parkview Noble Hospital offering July program on Ten Tips to a Healthier You

“Ten Tips to a Healthier You” is the name of a special program being offered at Parkview Noble Hospital, Tuesday, July 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Noble 1 meeting room.

Presenting this free educational opportunity is Kristen Frane, a second year medical student from IU. She is serving a summer internship with Lilly Bontrager, MD, a member of Parkview Physicians Group – Noble Campus in Kendallville.

Kristen, who is planning on becoming a primary care physician, said she chose this topic because nutrition and fitness are areas of interest for her.

“With proper nutrition and activity, a person can control their health and their life,” she explained. “The goal of medicine is to help people feel empowered to live healthy lives and know where to turn when they need help achieving their goals. This event is intended to help community members understand nutrition and fitness and feel motivated to make healthy changes in their lives."

Tips offered in the program will range from general tips such as advising people to shop more frequently so that they can purchase produce which tends to spoil quicker to specific, detailed information on fats.

Parkview Noble dietitian Amanda Bolin, RD, will also be present.

For more information about the program, contact Parkview Noble Community Relations office at (260) 347-8161 or toll free at (888) 737-9311, ext. 78161.
