Parkview Noble Hospital is helping babysitters become “Star Sitters” with an upcoming Star Sitters class.
The session planned for this summer will be Tuesday, July 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the hospital.
Boys or girls who have completed 5th through 8th grades are welcome in the class.
Taught by community nurse educator, Leshia Howell, RN, BSN; the class will cover topics such as basic child care, medical emergencies, CPR, home security and safety, as well as the duties and responsibilities of a good babysitter.
Cost is $25 per child and includes an information binder, snacks and a goodie bag filled with babysitting supplies. Registration is required prior to class and class size is limited to the first 16 participants registered and paid prior to class. All attendees are asked to bring a sack lunch.
