The 14th annual Festival of Trees, benefiting the LaGrange and Noble branches of Parkview Hospice, will kick off the holiday season Saturday, November 19 at the Kendallville Event Center.
Festival of Trees features an Open House from 10 a.m. to noon and an evening Gala starting at 6 p.m. The gala includes dinner, dancing and an amazing array of silent auction items ranging from holiday decorations to unique gifts and items for the home. The Remnants will provide music for dancing.
Funds are raised through sponsorship of the event, trees, wreaths and the sale of donated items at silent auction. A live auction will also be held to sell a selection of the items. Opportunities are still available for sponsorships, donation of silent auction items and the purchase of tickets to attend the evening Gala. Tickets are $50 per person for the Gala and reservations may be made by calling the Parkview Noble Foundation at (260) 347-8809 or (888) 737-9311, ext 78809.
“Generosity Heals both the giver and the receiver,” commented Jane Roush, Director of the Parkview Noble Hospital Foundation and chairperson of the event. “Every year it is inspiring to hear how the nurses from Parkview Hospice affect the lives of the patients and families they care for. I think that compassion carries over into the support of our event. Not only do we have people who have been touched by Hospice ask to help with this event, they feel strongly about giving back through donating or attending.”
Prior to the evening event, the Festival of Trees Open House is held Saturday morning and features an opportunity for the public to view the trees and bid on silent auction items. The talented performers from TC Dance Studio in Kendallville will provide entertainment for the Open House. Suggested donation for the Open House is $3.
