Former nursing director of Parkview Orthopedic Hospital appointed new VP at Parkview LaGrange

LaGrange, IN. Officials at Parkview LaGrange Hospital announced today that Jordi K. Disler, RN, MSN has been appointed Vice President of Patient Care Services for the facility.

Disler has been a part of Parkview Health’s leadership since 2001, most recently as the Director of Nursing for the Parkview Orthopedic Hospital (POH) in Fort Wayne. While in that role, she was responsible for overseeing and mentoring the clinical nursing and rehab services supervisors and the inpatient clinical educator and served as a member of the facility’s leadership team. She played a key role in the implementaton of Parkview’s specialized orthopedic program, organizing and promoting pre-operative patient education, streamlining hospitalization and organizing discharge planning for patients.

Prior to coming to Parkview, Disler worked at St. Joseph Hospital’s Regional Wound Care Center from 1994 through 2001, initially as a patient care provider, then as manager of the center beginning in 1999. Disler also worked as a staff nurse in Lutheran and St. Joseph Hospitals’ emergency departments.

Disler received her bachelor of science in nursing from Marian College in Indianapolis, graduating Cum Laude. Her master’s degree is in nursing administration and executive nursing from Purdue University in Fort Wayne.

Parkview LaGrange Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital that provides acute care services to the people of LaGrange County and surrounding communities.  In July of 2008, Parkview LaGrange opened its new hospital facility. In addition to the full range of general acute care services offered by Parkview LaGrange, an electronic intensive care unit (eICU) and the eICU robotic technology that is a hallmark of all Parkview Health hospitals has brought another, higher level of care to the people of LaGrange County. Current services include EMS and emergency care; ambulatory and inpatient surgery; endoscopy; medical-surgical care, a swing bed program and maternity.
