If you or your loved one is currently living with the challenges of cancer or are a cancer survivor, please join members of Parkview LaGrange Hospital and Parkview Health as we work to identify those services and information that are needed by members of our community. Your input will be of great value as we try to gauge your interest in future cancer educational programs and support services to be offered here in LaGrange County.
Representatives of several organizations that serve cancer patients in LaGrange will launch the evening’s discussion by providing a brief overview of possible topics of interest including:
- Support services and supplies available for cancer patients
- Nutrition: healthy eating, nausea management, energy foods
- Exercise and stress relief during treatment and recovery
A question and answer period will follow the presentations. We will be seeking your feedback about cancer information, services and support that could be of value to you as you move through – and beyond – your battle with the disease. Your input will be greatly appreciated.
Focus group facilitators include Amanda Turner of the American Cancer Society, Linda Bewley of Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, Lynn Gerig of Parkview Health’s Cancer Support Services Center, Mike Charlier of Parkview LaGrange Rehabilitation Services and Randy Packer of Parkview LaGrange Support Resources.
