Parkview LaGrange welcomes new board members

3/8/2010

Early in 2010, Parkview LaGrange Hospital welcomed several new board members and installed their new board chair.

Jac Price assumed the role of Parkview LaGrange Hospital’s board chairman in January as Joe Pierce completed his five-year term in that role. Price has served as a board member since the hospital became part of Parkview Health in May of 2005. Price is president and CEO of Price’s Laundry and a lifelong resident of LaGrange County.

Three new members were also welcomed to the Parkview LaGrange board of directors: Kevin Lambright, Lisa Booth, MD, and Miroslaw Foltyniak, MD.

Kevin Lambright was born and raised in Shipshewana and has been involved in farming throughout his life. He is the president of Shipshewana Auction, Inc. and of the Trading Place, LLC. Lambright is very actively involved in LaGrange County through his service on the boards of the Shipshewana Retail Merchants Association, the Red Cross of Elkhart/LaGrange Counties, LaGrange County Junior Achievement and the Parkview LaGrange Foundation. He is also a member of the LaGrange County Tax Commission.

Lisa Booth, MD is the president of the medical staff at Parkview LaGrange Hospital and a board certified family physician in private practice in LaGrange County. A graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, she completed her family practice residency through the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program and served as Chief Resident during her final year there. In addition to her private practice in LaGrange, Booth also provides OB services at the Shipshewana Family Healthcare office one morning a week.

Miroslaw Foltyniak, MD, FACS is the vice president of the hospital’s medical staff. He is board certified in general surgery and a member of the Parkview Physicians’ Group. Foltyniak completed his medical degree at the Silesian Medical Academy in Poland and did his internship and residency in general surgery at the Brooklyn-Caledonian Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he served as Chief Resident during his fifth year of residency. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Indiana State Medical Society.
