If you happen to click the television remote to 21Alive about 12:30 p.m. every other Tuesday, there’s a good chance you might recognize the featured guest.
Parkview Huntington Hospital FirstCare pediatrician Duane Hougendobler, MD, discusses children’s healthcare issues and take questions from viewers on the program Noon Extra, which immediately follows Indiana’s NewsCenter at Noon on 21Alive. The program airs Monday through Friday.
Parkview Center for Integrative Medicine physician Jeffrey Gladd, MD, and Women’s Health Center nurse practitioner Linda Kerr, RN, MSN, also are regular guests on the program.
Dr. Hougendobler discusses child-related healthcare every other Tuesday. Dr. Gladd covers diet and nutrition topics every other Thursday, and Kerr speaks about women’s health issues every other Monday.
“This is a great opportunity to share valuable information with the public, and it’s my hope that this programming will do some good,” said Dr. Hougendobler.
Indiana’s NewsCenter at Noon, which this year expanded to one hour, features other experts from its viewing area as well, who touch on a wide variety of issues following the news and weather of the day. Other topics covered include senior issues, pet care, legal issues and financial help.
The interactive second half hour features viewer calls, who speak directly to the experts and receive answers to their questions. Viewers also may submit questions ahead of time for the guest experts online at incnow.tv, or call in to (260) 483-8331 during the program.
