Fort Wayne, Ind. – Wednesday, Apr. 20, 2011 — Parkview today hosted a brain injury event led by Fort Wayne’s Local Support Network (LSN).
Today’s event, “Brain Injury 102: Understanding Brain Injury,” is the second of four events to be hosted in Fort Wayne this year. LSN is an initiative of the Brain Injury Association of America, the U.S. Department of Health Resources and Service Administration, and Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation.
LSN is designed to help families and providers after brain injury. Experts today discussed functional brain anatomy, rehabilitation and community resources.
Brain injury advocates work to improve the lives of families and survivors; raise community awareness; educate; coordinate service and support; and broaden community resources.
