Fort Wayne, Ind. – Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 – Parkview will host an upcoming program, “Is Your Medicare Drug Plan the Right One for You?” There will be two sessions - 9:30-11 a.m. and 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at the Parkview Health Corporate Office auditorium, 10501 Corporate Dr. on the Parkview North Campus.
Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIP) counselors will provide information and answer questions from participants.
Each year, individuals are able to switch plans between November 15 and December 31. If individuals elect to change plans, they enroll in a new plan and are automatically dropped from their previous plan. The new coverage takes effect January 1, 2011. Drug plans may change the list of drugs they cover, the price and participants’ share of the cost. An Annual Notice of Change should be sent to members by October 31.
