Fort Wayne, Ind. – Thursday, August 27, 2009 — Parkview Home Health & Hospice will hold a seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccination clinic from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2.
The location for the flu and pneumonia shots will be Parkview Field in the Fort Wayne TinCaps Conference Room, 1301 Ewing St. The vaccinations will be available for people nine years of age and older with tickets for that evening’s TinCaps game.
If individuals have proof of traditional Medicare Part B or Medicaid, there will be no out-of-pocket expense. There will also be no out-of-pocket expense if individuals have a Medicare HMO. If individuals have any other insurance or no insurance, the out-of-pocket expense will be $21 for flu shots and $35 for pneumonia shots. Payment will be expected at the time of administration. Cash and personal checks will be accepted.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that individuals wanting to reduce the risk of contracting the flu should get a flu vaccine.

Parkview will be offering additional flu and pneumonia vaccination clinics throughout northeast Indiana in September-November. A complete list of dates, times and locations will be released in early September.
