Due to the H1N1 restricted visiting policy in place at Parkview LaGrange Hospital, the Council on Aging’s Senior Expo is being moved to the Parkview LaGrange County EMS Building on Townline Road, across from CVS. Additional parking will be provided at the City of LaGrange’s Town Hall, in the east portion of their parking lot.
While the focus of the Senior Expo will be on providing seasonal flu vaccines to assist seniors in reducing their risk of developing complications from influenza, the supply of flu shots will be limited. As with other providers, Parkview Home Health and Hospice is experiencing many more people requesting the seasonal flu vaccine than had been anticipated.
Additional services and information for seniors who attend the Senior Expo will be available at booths hosted by the LaGrange County Council on Aging, Parkview LaGrange Hospital, the Social Security Administration, Aging and In Home Services, SHIP, TRIAD, AARP, Miller’s Merry Manor, Life Care Center of LaGrange, Indiana’s Office of the Attorney General and the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.
A free continental brunch will be provided by Parkview LaGrange Hospital, from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. The Expo will take place at the Parkview LaGrange County EMS Building on north Townline Road in LaGrange. Transportation to and from the event may be arranged through the LaGrange County COA by calling at least 48 hours in advance. The number to call for transportation or additional information about the 15th Annual Senior Expo is 260-463-4161.
